2.Gather all of the components. There should be a card reader with a USB key on the end. Put the Micro SD card in the reader. Be careful not to break it! Turn on your computer, then stick the card reader containing the card into the USB port.
3.Notice the menu that appears. Scroll down to find the button that reads "Open to View Files." The details of the Micro SD card will be displayed. Use the "Up One Level" button in the window. This should take you to "My Computer."
4.Discover that there is something called an e:// drive that is not normally there. Rename this "M3 REAL" and go back into it. Create a folder called NDS (save this for later).
5.Search Google for "M3 real system files", and find a website that gives system files 3.0 or above. (Note: On the actual M3 website the system files are wrong!)
6.Download the system files and save them to the M3 Real card, but be sure not to save them in the NDS folder. Then, use an extraction program to unzip the files.
If you can't do that, don't worry! Go into the zipped folder and copy all of the files and folders. Create a standard folder called "system2" and put them in there. Then, go back, delete the zipped folder, and rename the folder from "system2" to "System". Be sure to get this right, or it will not work!
7.Notice that the box it says "Built in PDA", but you will find it is not. Go back to the web and find M3 Real PDA files and save them to the M3 Real card. Then unzip or copy and paste the files into a standard folder. The M3 Real cannot read zipped folders.
8.Return to the NDS folder and create sub-folders (such as MUSIC, PICTURES, etc.). Place your files (e.g., MP3s) into the corresponding folder.
9.Go back and try again if it didn't work.
1. Please download the latest R4 kernel direcly from R4 website(http://www.r4ds.com/soft/english/English-1.11.rar )
2. Extract the file to somewhere on your computer
3. After extraction, two folders (_system_ , moonshl) and two files (_DS_MENU.DAT , _DS_MSHL.nds) are extracted . Please double check
4. Copy the above folders and files (drag and drop) to your MicroSD card (Before doing this, please plug the card reader with memory card to you computer, then you will see a drive on my computer)
5. Insert the microsd card back to R46. Insert the R4 into your NDS Lite7. Turn on your DS then enjoy it
Three possible reasons:
1. Bad DS Lite
2. Bad microSD card
3. Bad R4 Cartridge
To eliminate number one. Try the working R4 cartridge in both DS Lites. If it works fine in both, then the problem is not the DS Lite. If the working R4 only works in one DS Lite, then it could be a bad DS Lite.
If you find you have two good working DS LItes, time to check the MicroSD card. Using the same DS Lite and the working R4 cartridge, try both microSD cards in the working R4 cartridge. If both microSD cards work, then the problem lies with the other R4 cartridge and you should get it replaced. If only one of the microSD cards work, then the problem lies with the microSD card. You can try reformatting it. If that does not solve the problem, please replace the microSD card with a new one. Brands do make a difference and the Kingston brand is reputed to be the best and most reliable.
DSTT slot 1 card is very temperamental and causes frequent freezing of the Nintendo DS.
To use the card initially, format the micro SD card. FAT 16 is a more stable formatting option than FAT 32. (Formatting to FAT 16: Double click on the “my computer” icon. Right click on the micro SD card drive and select “format”. Under file system, select “FAT”. )
When the card is formatted, copy the system files on to the card. These consist of
1). A folder called TTMenu
2). A system file called TTMENU
3). A Video CD Movie called TTMENU
These 3 items should be copied on to the root menu of the card.
Now copy on to the card any games you wish to play. The games are usually stored in a folder giving the name of the game. This folder contains a file called xxxxxx.nds depending on the game. Copy the whole game folder on to the root menu and not individual files.
Place the micro SD card into the DSTT card and insert into slot 1. When you switch the NDS on, you should have a list of games. DO NOT START PLAYING ANY GAMES YET!!!
Select “SysOption” at the top left hand corner of the screen. Make sure Default reset is set to “On”. Exit “SysOption” by pressing “back”.
You can now play your games now.
1. You may need to format your Micro SD card/TF card (Fat 16 )
2. Once this has completed you will have an empty micro sd card and ready to put on the system files required. (you can download the system files or we call it kernel drag to Micro SD card/TF card).
3. Check if your Micro SD card/TF card has enough rom for your game files when the game can't be loaded. Clean up your .nds files at the same root of one folder named "games". If it's completely full, the flashcard won't be able to create the .sav files and it won't work. If your micro SD is too full, try to delete a couple of your games.
4. Pull your Micro SD card/TF card out to check if your nds can find any card. Showing "no card?" or "no menue?", you can learn that nothing wrong with your flashcard. You can check if your Micro SD card/TF card is defective.
5. Update flashcard 'kernel files when you can not play some new games. Or try more different versions of firmware.
